SHARJAH – His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, on Thursday inaugurated Khorfakkan Resort in the presence of Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.

Developed by Asas Real Estate, the property arm of Sharjah Islamic Bank, the Dh700 million project is expected to strengthen tourism and investment activity in Khorfakkan. The resort combines luxury residential living, hospitality services and recreational facilities along one of the emirate’s most scenic waterfronts.

Upon arrival, His Highness Sheikh Sultan unveiled the commemorative plaque marking the official opening before touring the resort’s facilities. The development spans approximately 330,000 square feet of land, while its built-up area reaches 1.4 million square feet.

Prime location

The resort consists of a ground floor, two parking levels and nine residential floors. It includes 573 residential units ranging from one-bedroom apartments to four-bedroom apartments with living rooms, alongside 16 retail outlets designed to create a fully integrated residential and leisure destination.

Located directly on Khorfakkan beach, the project sits close to the Khorfakkan Amphitheatre and Waterfall. The development overlooks four panoramic fronts featuring the sea, beach, mountains and city skyline, offering residents and visitors sweeping views across the eastern coast.

Resort features

The resort includes a range of recreational and lifestyle facilities, including outdoor swimming pools, a gymnasium, elevated green spaces covering 100,000 square feet and a children’s sports and entertainment area. Residents and guests also have access to a private beach and integrated hotel-style services.

The project offers freehold ownership for all nationalities, supporting Sharjah’s wider efforts to attract international investment into the emirate’s real estate and tourism sectors.

Khorfakkan Resort is expected to boost economic and tourism activity in the city by delivering a destination that blends luxury accommodation, leisure facilities and coastal living as part of Sharjah’s ongoing sustainable development plans.
